VAHL · HistoryThe excellent reputation of VAHL has spread far beyond the borders of Germany.
VAHL is an independent German company, focused in veterinary continuing education.
In 2000, Dr. Beate Egner founded Schloss-Seminar and began organizing veterinary education and continuing education programs in Germany. She is the managing director of several businesses and a veterinarian with many years of experience in both education and science based teaching to include its implementation in practice.
In addition, she is a member of several international committees and working groups engaged in establishing a “veterinary physiotherapist” specialty worldwide. Dr. Egner is committed to ensuring that this title within veterinary medicine is reserved for trained specialists.
This is how the worldwide success story began …
As early as 2000, Schloss-Seminars successfully held its first training event for veterinary medicine. From the beginning, the philosophy was to impart evidence-based and practical knowledge. As scientific director and organizer of the seminars, it was very important to Dr. Egner not only to select the topics according to the wishes of the participants, but to include the latest diagnosis and treatment procedures and thus to take into account the progress in veterinary medicine. Evidence-based scientific details and the latest diagnosis and treatment methods have been included to reflect the progress in veterinary medicine.
The name Schloss Seminars (Schloss = Castle) was chosen because all seminars were held in the special ambience of a castle or a castle hotel.
Schloss-Seminar has been recognized internationally and was integrated into the newly established Veterinary Academy of Higher Learning (VAHL). From the beginning, it was essential that the most modern diagnostic and treatment procedures were included in the curricula. The high standards for accreditation and the complex, rigorous but enjoyable curriculum, as well as the consideration of evidence-based content, ensure that degrees offered through VAHL are internationally recognized.
Companies without the knowledge of their past history are like a tree without roots. VAHL's history in essence is the history of ideas.
