Degenerative diseases of the central nervous system are common in humans and small animals .Both people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and dogs with degenerative myelopathy (DM) may be able to progress with guidelines based on locomotor training, functional electrical stimulation and regenerative medicine.

Clinical director of CRAA. She also is faculty member of the Veterinary Academy of Higher Learning (VAHL).
